WordPress.org today released WordPress 4.9.7. This release fixes the security issue that was reported last week. This is good news as the vulnerability would have allowed a user to delete files outside the upload directory. Along with this update some additional bugs were fixed. Click here to learn more.

Most copies of WordPress should have automatically updated to the latest version. If you have plugins that need to be updated you should do that to close any security vulnerabilities.
